Generating rent schedules
Charges are created from active leases on their own — a rolling 12-month window.

A charge is a specific receivable for a period (e.g. August rent), created from an active lease. In Najato you don't run this by hand — charges are created automatically.
Payments › ⚙ Payment settings › Schedules
How it works
Every time the Payments page loads, Najato tops up missing future charges so each active lease shows at least 12 months ahead (or until the lease's end date for fixed-term leases). Just visit the page now and then and the window keeps moving on its own.
1
Open Payment settings
The gear icon in the Payments header (right of the green “Receive payment”).
2
Schedules tab
A note at the top explains charges generate automatically; below it a read-only “Due dates from leases” table shows the due day, payment type and frequency derived from each lease.
3
Generate now (optional)
The button tops up missing charges instantly, without waiting for the next page load — handy right after creating a new lease.
Good to know
The top-up is idempotent and lightweight — it only continues from the last existing charge and never overwrites a charge that's already Paid or Partial.
Heads up
Frequency and payment type (before/after the period) from the lease are only displayed in the table — generation itself currently always computes monthly, due roughly one month before the period. Check other setups manually.
